The awards ceremony of the world philatelic competition Premio Internazionale d'Arte Filatelica was held in the Italian city of Asiago on 20 September 2020, and the first place in the category "Tourism" was won by our commemorative block "Croatian Tourism – Plitvice Lakes" from 2019. The award was accepted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Italy, Jasen Mesić. Let us remind you, this was the 33rd international philatelic award given to the Croatian Post.

The commemorative block "Croatian Tourism – Plitvice Lakes" consists of four postage stamps showing a detail of the waterfalls on Lake Kozjak, a detail of the waterfalls on the Great Cascades between Lakes Gavanovac and Kaluđerovac, the waterfalls along the promenades and a detail of the Great Waterfall. The photographs are the work of Mario Romulić, Dražen Stojčić and Ivo Pervan, and the authors of the block are Zagreb designers Ivana Vučić and Tomislav-Jurica Kaćunić. The stamps were issued in 10-stamp sheets, in a four-stamp block and in a booklet, and two First Day Covers (FDC) were also issued.

Furthermore, the 2019 commemorative sheet of stamps by the Croatian Post, called Croatian Tourism - Plitvice Lakes, based on the motifs of the Plitvice Lakes waterfalls throughout the four seasons, also won first place at Premio Internazionale d'Arte Filatelica, a world philatelic competition held in Asiago, Italy. This philatelic "Oscar" was awarded to the Croatian Post in the "Tourism" category, and the prize thus became the Post's 33rd international award. The sheet was designed by Ivana Vučić and Tomislav Jurica Kaćunić, designers from Zagreb, whereas the photos were taken by photographers Ivo Pervan, Mario Romulić and Dražen Stojčić.
