Croatian Post acknowledged for Excellence During Challenges
08.10.2020.
Safety, stability and good communication
The Croatian Post has received the Excellence During Challenges acknowledgment, which is given to companies for quality human resource management and care for their people during the pandemic. It is a recognition awarded to companies that launched outstanding initiatives from the very beginnings. Its holders have shown that they recognize the importance of rapid and continuous adjustment of work objectives and organization, transparent communication with employees and the care for physical and mental health.
The consulting company SELECTIO has praised the attitude of the employer towards its staff. "Since its very onset, the pandemic has had a substantial impact on business performance, therefore the Croatian Post is strongly focused on maintaining all the rights of its employees. Salaries are stable, all benefits and increases have been kept and the employer has been meeting all its obligations under the Collective Agreement and the laws. Performance bonuses have been paid into voluntary pension funds, as well as the variable portions of salaries. In addition, the existing psychological support program has been expanded to help employees better cope with the new circumstances. Also, managers possess the relevant knowledge gained at the Croatian Post Academy to manage stressful situations and overcome traumatic events. At this time, the emphasis is on internal and external communication and occupational safety. Through daily communication via newsletters and numerous digital channels, employees and customers regularly receive all key information.
Besides, the Croatian Post has shown solidarity with the community by corporate social responsibility initiatives – a ventilator has been donated to the University Hospital Sveti Duh, and humanitarian aid delivery has been organized in cooperation with the Red Cross. For employees affected by the earthquake in Zagreb, the employee has, in addition to the benefits paid under the Collective Agreement, shown extra solidarity as the Management Board and managing staff gave up 30% of their April salaries. Preserving the stability of earnings and employee safety remain the focus of the Croatian Post," SELECTIO concludes.
