Rimac Nevera on Third Croatian Crypto Stamp
08.09.2021.
New crypto stamp proudly features Rimac Nevera all-electric hypercar
Zagreb, 8 September 2021 – The Croatian Post presents the third Croatian crypto stamp, to be issued on 9 September 2021 on the occasion of the Postage Stamp Day. The motif on the stamp is a fully electric hypercar – Rimac Nevera. The stamp was created by Ivana Vučić and Tomislav-Jurica Kaćunić, designers from Zagreb, and the photo was taken by Danijel Palčić. To faithfully transpose collecting into the digital world, the crypto stamps have been divided into digital categories, emphasizing distinctiveness and exclusivity. The Rimac Nevera motif thus appears in five different categories: the golden Rimac Nevera is issued in 2,000 copies, silver in 4,000, bronze in 6,000, grey in 8,000, and blue-green in 10,000 copies, making for a total of 30,000 copies.
The souvenir sheet contains one stamp, and it is on a PVC background. Croatian crypto stamps have been conceived as a perfect combination of analogue and digital, and this third one is especially significant because it commemorates the Croatian hypercar of the future – Rimac Nevera.
An attractive edition of the new crypto stamps can be found on the online store kripto.posta.hr/marka/v3 (available from Thursday, September 9th) where the Croatian Post has enabled the purchase of crypto stamps via cryptocurrencies, at epostshop.hr and all major post offices.
As a reminder, the Croatian Post issued two souvenir sheets with crypto stamps bearing various motifs that depict postal transportation throughout the centuries. In this way, Croatia, along with Austria and Gibraltar, has become the third country in the world to issue its own NFT (non-fungible token). This edition has been realized in cooperation with Croatian companies Rimac Automobili, Bitx and NodeFactory.
Rimac Nevera
Rimac Nevera – a fully electric hypercar with a top speed of 412 km/h has been created to provide an unprecedented level of performance. It has four electric motors with a total power of 1914 hp and 2360 Nm of torque and will be the most powerful and fastest accelerating homologated car in production, regardless of the type of powertrain transmission. It is completely designed, developed and manufactured at the company Rimac Automobili in Croatia, and Nevera proudly bears a Croatian name, which truly reflects the extraordinary performance that can be released in the blink of an eye.
Nevera is a powerful Mediterranean storm, charged with lightning, which appears with extraordinary speed and strength. The Rimac hypercar shares with this type of storm not only the name, but also its character. Like the natural force after which it is named, it is equally capable of instantly changing its character from a safe and comfortable grand tourer to a high-performance car – Nevera retains its stunning acceleration throughout the cycle of full throttle and reaches 300 km/h from start in just 9.3 seconds. In addition, the car achieves a record fast 8.6 seconds per quarter mile (0–402 meters).
As a reminder, the first Croatian crypto stamp was issued on 9 September 2020 to mark the Postage Stamp Day, and the exclusive 500 copies that were made available for purchase with cryptocurrencies were sold out in record 16 hours.
